Most of the today’s optical disc copy software (CD, DVD and Blu-ray) are becoming larger and heavier, full suites that do everything. But if you just need a record, without more, can use any of these five free apps.
1. AMOK CD/DVD BURNING
AmoK CD-DVD Burning is a program for optical disc recording that works with virtually all recorders CD & DVD SCSI, IDE, EIDE, USB and Firewire. Supports recording on the fly, so that does not even require a temporary file on the hard disk. It also allows you to create an ISO image from a physical disk. As standard, you can only create data discs but the program supports a variety of additional plugins.

Free Any Burn is an extremely light application to burn discs of CD, DVD and Blu-ray. It has the most common functions, such as file recording on a disc, disc copying (not protected), erase rewritable discs and even the format conversion of image file (e.g. ISO to BIN / CUE). It also allows recording music discs and supports formats MP3, FLAC, APE, WMA and others.
Burrrn specializes in creating audio discs on CD, from several files of digital audio in various formats. The program supports WAV, MP3, MPC, OGG, AAC, MP4, APE, FLAC, OFR, WV, TTA, M3U, PLS and FPL, as well as playlists and CUE files. Burrrn is able to read all the labels of these formats and convert them to CD-Text to be displayed in your CD player.
InfraRecorder is another application for optical disc recording, which lets you create data discs, music and combined. There are four different methods for erasing rewritable discs and supports copy CD or DVD disks to other disks or to an image file. Similarly, you can record HD DVD and Blu-ray in data or video formats. InfraRecorder is able to read the formats BIN, DVD, IMG, ISO, NRG and more.
If you need to burn disc images you have on your computer to physical disks, ImgBurn is just what you need. This program specializes in this task and supports most modern writers (including Advanced configuration models BenQ, LiteOn, NEC, Plextor, Sony) and most of the disk image formats that exist. You can also use ImgBurn to erase or format rewritable discs.
